Simple care tips for keeping handmade bracelets, upcycled trims, florals, ribbons, and statement accessories looking their best.

Handmade pieces do not need complicated care, but they do appreciate a little gentleness.

RAVE bracelets often include upcycled fabric, trims, ribbons, florals, buttons, beads, or found details. That mix is what gives each piece its personality, and it is also why care looks different from mass-produced metal jewelry.

Store pieces where they can breathe

Avoid tossing statement bracelets into a crowded drawer. Store them flat or loosely wrapped so trims are not crushed and florals keep their shape.

A small box, tray, or fabric pouch works well. If a piece has taller details, give it room instead of pressing it under other accessories.

Keep water and heat away

Do not soak handmade fabric or trim-based pieces. Water can affect glue, thread, structure, and vintage materials.

It also helps to avoid:

  • showering or swimming in the piece
  • storing it in a hot car
  • spraying perfume directly on it
  • cleaning with harsh chemicals

Put the bracelet on after lotion, perfume, or hair product has settled.

Spot clean gently

If a piece needs cleaning, start with the lightest touch: a soft dry cloth or a tiny spot test on fabric that is not visible. Avoid scrubbing delicate trims.

When in doubt, message RAVE before trying a stronger cleaner.

Wear it often, but treat it like art

The goal is not to keep handmade jewelry hidden away. Wear it. Style it. Let it start conversations.

Just remember that one-of-one materials are part accessory, part tiny art object. A little care helps the piece stay expressive for many more outfits.
